I grew up in a small mountain community in southeastern Kentucky where life seemed to center around going to church. My mom was a Sunday school teacher, so we were there twice on Sunday, again on Wednesday night, and attended youth group once during the week. Plus the occasional weekend event or dinner. My childhood was firmly rooted in the church and in the gospel.
2 Timothy 14-15 says "But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."
Fast forward quite a few years and I know live in Crab Orchard, KY. I work in a local factory and my wife is a school teacher. We live on a rural road out in the country where it is nice and quiet. We have a love for all animals, and all of God's creation. For some reason people like to dump their unwanted pets on our road, so we take them in and love them.
Proverbs 12:10 says "A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast."
My wife loves astronomy, and she has gifted this love to me. Over the past few years, I have learned to photograph the night sky. I have come to love this time alone in the dark. I find there's no better time to talk to God than when I'm out at night by myself, admiring his work in the cosmos. It's very quiet with few distractions, which provides a great environment for thinking and listening. This is when I feel most connected to everything around me.
Isaiah 40:26 says "Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth."
I was looking for a gift for my mother for Christmas, I wanted to find her a shirt with a bible verse on it. I found a few that I liked, but most just had little catchphrases like "Faith" written on them. I liked those, but wondered why there weren't more shirts with just scripture on them. I caught myself thinking about that a few weeks later, and the thought entered my mind to just make some myself. Plus to mention that I'm a huge introvert, so what better way to share the gospel, than with the clothes we wear. And that's how we ended up here.
Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about us and have a great day.
Numbers 6:24-26 "The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace."
